An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, inspirational and experienced Head of Music with a passion for teaching to the highest standards to join our outstanding school to provide maternity cover. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to teach music from EYFS upwards.

We are a small independent school in Windsor. The school has been running since 1936. Responsibilities
Music has a high profile in the school and the successful candidate will play a key role in the co-ordination and arrangement of all musical activities for pupils throughout the school, together with leading and managing the peripatetic teaching staff.
The Head of Music will teach music to all age groups from nursery to Form 6, manage and run the Junior and Senior choirs as well as the school orchestra. They will ensure that the music curriculum is kept current and monitor how music is implemented throughout the school.
The Head of Music will organise and provide musical expertise and support for all school drama productions, prepare pupils for music awards, exhibitions and scholarships, manage hymn practice and organise music exams.

What we are looking for
The ideal candidate for this role would have:
· Degree in Music
· PGCE/QTS
· Experience working in a Prep school
· Experience teaching EYFS
· Strong passion and experience in working with school choirs
· Strong knowledge of the music curriculum
· Piano and Voice as first instruments – other instruments are a bonus
· Ability to keep calm and prioritise a demanding workload
· Strong attention to detail
· Excellent communication skills
· MS Office skills inc Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
· Able to work as part of a team and use your own initiative
· Commitment to your role and being an inspiration
· Have a fun, can do attitude
· A willingness to meet challenges with enthusiasm and to contribute as a team member is essential
