Who we need
As part of the Business Partnering team, you will provide advice, guidance and support to managers on a range of people matters. We are a People team with colleagues at the centre of what we do, and this is an ideal opportunity if you are a people orientated HR professional, with a passion for engagement, wellbeing and culture.

1. Provide advice, to coach and support managers with HR casework (sickness absence, performance improvement, grievance and discipline) and restructuring activity across the College.
2. Support leaders in implementing change programmes, including consultation with trade unions and staff and liaison with legal advisers as required.
3. Support the investigation process, interviewing witnesses and producing investigation reports. To ensure all cases are managed within a 4-week window, working proactively with leaders to manage the process, quickly and efficiently.
4. Act as a trusted advisor to develop and build leadership and colleague capability across the College.
5. Undertake project work as required by the Head of People Services, ensuring that robust project plans are in place and that projects are delivered within agreed timescales.
What you’ll bring
The ideal candidate will have generalist HR experience, including employee relations, casework, recruitment and project work. You will:
* Have effective communication skills
* Have the ability to influence and motivate
* Work at pace, managing and prioritising your workload
* Operate independently using own initiative, whilst knowing to when to utilise the wider Business Partnering team for effective support
* Develop professional working relationships with college leaders and managers
* Possess excellent attention to detail, and be able to analyse and produce accurate data and information
