This role involves working clinically in outpatient and theatre settings, with a range of teams in multiple specialties (ophthalmology, orthopaedics, anaesthetics) and potentially aiding in general service review and improvement activities. NO AGENCIES PLEASE Main duties of the job The role will be based primarily in two clinical services, visual electrodiagnostics (VED) and spinal cord monitoring (SCM). The post-holder will perform VED tests on patients in an outpatient environment and report these investigations clinically. Separately,they will also deliver intraoperative neuromonitoring for patients undergoing spinal surgery. Service-specific training will be provided as required, but an understanding of neurophysiology and clinical experience in performing patient investigations is essential. In addition to the routine clinical work, there will likely be opportunities to get involved in a range of technical and scientific service development activities, in the two main clinical services or other services within the department, which could provide additional experiences to support your registration.
