There can be no health without mental health – and no mental health services without social work and social care. Social Care has a distinctive contribution to make to the current challenges in care through its focus on the whole person in their social context and the significance of social networks to mental wellbeing.
You may be wondering why you should join our Integrated Mental Health Team. Here are some of the reasons our Social Care staff gave:
* The role in the Mental Health Social Care is broad and varied, encompassing a wide multi-disciplinary approach with health, statutory, non-statutory, and voluntary sector partners.
* The role of the Mental Health Social Care Worker is aligned with the core values of Social Work practice, focusing on person-centred, strengths-based approaches and promoting independence.
* We support people to identify and work towards their own individual recovery goals and help them achieve the life they wish to live.

We are looking for a Care Officer with a flexible positive attitude, who is passionate about promoting service users' independence and rights, and working with individuals to achieve their desired outcomes.
There are lots of benefits specific to Integrated Mental Health Teams, including:
* As an East Riding of Yorkshire Council Care Officer, you will work alongside colleagues from other adult services, such as our Community Wellbeing Teams. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team with Social Workers, Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and Psychiatrists.
* Weekly Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings where you can discuss cases and receive professional advice to achieve the best outcomes for service users.
* Regular Social Care supervision sessions that include opportunities to develop individual skills, experience, and abilities.
* Supportive managers who promote a culture where you feel safe in your practice.
* A commitment to consistently prioritising supervision.
We are proud to serve the diverse communities of East Riding of Yorkshire and want our workforce to reflect this diversity, which we believe is beneficial for our employees, the organisation, and the communities we serve.
