Hours: Monday to Friday - 8:30 to 3:30
End date: Temp to Perm
We are working with an SEMH school in Bristol that is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for the upcoming academic year. The role involves working with primary-aged students with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties. The position starts in September and is a temp-to-perm contract for the right candidate. The school specializes in supporting pupils with SEMH (EBD), requiring experience supporting children or young adults with challenging behaviour.
Highly Desirable:
* Experience supporting primary aged pupils
* Special Educational Needs experience in care or school settings
* Understanding of supporting/teaching young people with attachment disorder and challenging behaviour
* Training in Learning Support
Responsibilities:
* Provide engaging and empathetic educational support to pupils
* Assist teachers by supporting lessons
* Have understanding/knowledge of special needs or a keen interest in helping vulnerable pupils
* Aid learning and emotional well-being
