THE ROLE
We are looking for a strategic and people-oriented Head of Product to elevate and align our product management capabilities across a diverse portfolio of products spanning Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) and Business-to-Business (B2B) markets. This role offers the unique opportunity to influence product strategy, coach and develop a team of Product Managers and foster impactful collaboration across the organisation.
The Head of Product will balance shaping how we serve and simplify experiences for our B2B customers with identifying opportunities for cross-product commonality in our D2C products. They will also drive improvements in product management maturity, ensuring consistent delivery of business value.
This is an influential leadership role with significant autonomy to shape the product function and its processes to meet business objectives effectively.
Role Responsibility:
Strategic Leadership:
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to influence product strategy while empowering the team to own and execute product roadmaps.
* Shape the B2B portfolio by enabling the team to deliver automation, process simplification, and operational maturity to better serve customers, users and business stakeholders.
* Identify and champion opportunities for commonality and shared components within the D2C space, fostering efficiencies without disrupting go-to-market strategies.
Team Leadership & Coaching:
* Lead a team of direct reports, mentor, and grow the Product team, ensuring they thrive in a high-performing, customer-centric environment.
* Tailor coaching to varying levels of product management experience, helping team members develop their skills in product discovery, execution, and stakeholder collaboration.
* Evaluate the portfolio holistically, identifying synergies, gaps, and opportunities to scale capabilities effectively.
* Partner with teams to deliver consistent, value-driven outcomes addressing the unique needs of individual products.
Stakeholder Engagement:
* Build strong relationships, acting as a trusted advisor for product-led decision-making.
* Facilitate collaboration between business leaders, product teams, and other functional areas to align product outcomes with broader organisational goals.
Functional Autonomy:
* Shape and refine product management processes, frameworks, and best practices to ensure efficiency, scalability and suitable autonomy to evolve the function.
* Establish metrics to track product management effectiveness and continuously improve delivery outcomes.
KEY CRITERIA
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* Experience identifying and executing opportunities for portfolio-wide commonality and efficiency, particularly in D2C and B2B product environments.
* In-depth understanding and experience of product management principles, including product discovery, roadmap development, and value-driven delivery.
* Experience in managing a team to foster a high-performing, customer-centric culture and tailoring coaching approaches to meet individual team needs.
* Experience to evaluate and optimise diverse product portfolios, balancing individual product needs with opportunities for scalability and shared solutions.
* Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with the ability to act as a trusted advisor to the stakeholder network.
* Expertise in creating and leveraging metrics to measure the effectiveness of product management practices, inform continuous improvement and demonstrate value.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
* Experience in advancing product management practices and frameworks within a multifaceted organisational environment.
* Experience fostering collaboration across departments to align product outcomes with broader business objectives.
* Expertise in influencing and shaping product strategy in alignment with organisational goals.

Salary: £110,000 - £120,000 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience, plus London Weighting Allowance of £5,319 plus 25% bonus
The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
Location: Office Base is London: (This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working)
