Our established client is looking to create new sales generation within the UK Food & Beverage markets, specifically within the Printed Snacks and Confectionery Bags sectors.
The nature of this role requires a self-sustainable and senior Business Development Manager. The objective will be to establish a strong presence and build up a portfolio in the UK by introducing new clients to the business, managing and achieving a sales target and building a strong track record.

What will you be doing?
1. Hunting new business
2. Providing solutions to clients’ needs
3. Setting up meetings with prospective clients and demonstrating the brand
4. Understanding customer brands and their strategies
5. Writing business and growth plans, implementing supplier agreements, tendering
6. and quoting
7. Developing the business. Offering a range of films to prospective clients. Actively
8. acquiring new customer projects to meet packaging guidelines and targets.
9. Working within the Sales department looking after customers on a daily
10. basis from initial enquiry to samples, quotations, order processing, and building a
11. long-standing relationship with contacts.
12. Meeting with multiple key stakeholders regularly throughout each business
13. Translating customer needs, leveraging capabilities to meet those needs and
14. identifying new business opportunities
15. Liaising with purchasing and customer service to ensure smooth transactions and
16. delivery dates are met
17. Negotiating all agreements with customers, including pricing, rebates and
18. confidentiality
19. Maintain close liaison with Marketing groups to ensure open lines of communication
20. and keep internal team advised of relevant customer information, action plans and
21. client issues.
22. Communicating to and leveraging other members of the national team
23. Proposing a strategic commercial approach to Senior Management
24. Developing and growing a new business budget target
25. Coordinate with product managers of the factories for customers visits when required and only if needed. This is required from time to time to support the technical sales approach and the complementing commercial discussions.
26. Weekly reporting
We are looking for a salesperson with demonstrated experience in successfully bringing on new business, and a comprehensive understanding of the plastic packaging. With an excitement and thrill for the chase, you will focus on driving business through new customers.
