Fox & Edwards Events are the UK’s leading group booking agent for steam railways. From a fledgling company five years ago, we now work with multiple preserved railways around the UK providing quality nostalgic steam train journeys for the general public. Our range includes fish & chips journeys, cream teas, family character days, festive trains and much more.
Do you have an interest in heritage? Passionate about steam trains? Experienced in providing an excellent day out for visitors?

It is desirable for the successful candidate to have their own transport and be within the Dundee area so that you are around 1 hour of travel of both railways and are available to cover either location. Successful candidates may be asked to cover one or more of the above locations on different days.
For catering journeys, the candidate will generally be the sole representative of the company on site working alongside the host railway’s staff. For family days, you may be working as part of a team of other coordinators and management.
An element of the role may involve travelling on board the steam train with the customers and the successful candidate should be comfortable with motion and travel.
Hours of Work:
Roles are a zero-hour contract with a roster to cover journey days as required through the year. Most trips operate at weekends and bank holidays; however, weekday cover availability is also advantageous.

Cover requirements are circulated in advance and rostered. Would ideally suit a semi-retired or freelance candidate, or a person looking to occasionally supplement their income as a second casual job. Number of dates available to cover varies by season and programme. We are flexible where possible to fit around a candidate's other commitments.
