Job Summary:
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the mechanical disciplines on site. This includes implementing and developing maintenance standards and workflows to ensure compliance and safety.
The ideal candidate will have experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and medium to large maintenance budgets. A degree in Chemical Engineering is required, along with excellent communication and teamworking skills.
You will be responsible for ensuring the continuous improvement of maintenance procedures, workflows, and standards. This will involve logging, evaluating, and controlling maintenance key performance indicators (KPI).
In addition to your technical expertise, you will also need to possess good organisational and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of current Health, Safety and Environment Legislation and Engineering Standards is also essential.
We are looking for someone who is confident in managing small capital plant projects within budget and timeline. You will work closely with the Head of Projects to identify, define, and manage these projects.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop competency within the mechanical department.
* Ensure continuous improvements of maintenance procedures, workflows, and standards.
* Ensure attendance of the team members at required regular trainings according to the training matrix.
Compliance:
* Involvement in process safety and hazard analysis (HAZOP) and process safety compliance with realization of process safety measures within area of responsibility.
* Responsible for management of change in relation to technical and engineering facilities.
* Ensure the mechanical integrity of the plant consistent with corporate and UK legislation and standards.
Maintenance:
* Logging, evaluating, and controlling of the maintenance key performance indicators (KPI).
* Take ownership of escalated maintenance issues, carrying out trouble shooting and developing technical solutions to safety, process, and reliability issues.
* Feed into maintenance and shutdown planning routine and critical tasks.
About You:
* Experienced people manager with proven engineering experience in a chemical, pharmaceutical, or petrochemical plant on either lower or upper tier COMAH sites.
* Confident in managing multidisciplinary teams and medium to large maintenance and capital budgets.
* Degree in Chemical Engineering.
* Excellent communication and teamworking skills.
* Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Detailed knowledge of common regulations and standards.
* Knowledge of current Health, Safety and Environment Legislation and Engineering Standards.
* A good understanding of maintenance processes and experience of plant engineering activity.
* Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems.
