Job Purpose:
The Stability Specialist provides direct support and guidance to foster strength and overall well-being of both mothers and the home's AmeriCorps team. This position provides direct case management to the moms in the home, establishing goals, connecting with resources, and individualizing support. The position shares responsibility for overseeing the overall operations of the home, providing leadership, building rapport, ensuring accountability, and facilitating a warm and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct strengths-based needs assessment with each family on caseload and develops family partnership agreements with participants, creating measurable goals to ensure families are successful in accomplishing their identified goals.
* Provide individualized support to the home including de-escalation, mediation, crisis support, and problem solving.
* Collaborate with local programs and assist participants in accessing community resources and support services, ensuring having up-to-date information and locating specialized resources as needed.
* Timely and accurately complete documentation including utilizing an online database in accordance with the established guidelines and procedures.
* Outreach - reaching out to participants to continue, establish and maintain relationships.
* Coordinate, with Director of Family Services approval, all financial requests (loans, scholarships, emergency expenses, etc.).
* Serve as an advocate for the participants (including attending court, Homeless Court and writing letters of recommendation for participants as requested).
* Inform and assist participants in enrolling into Maggie's Place programming.
* Initiate and facilitate community partnerships.
* Participate in social services department team duties including teaching/facilitating classes and support at programmatic events/activities.
* Maintain and uphold Coaching (Case Management) and Family Success Center Standards of Practice.
* Schedule monthly staffing with the AmeriCorps members, Director of Family services, and Therapist.
* Cultivate a strong and effective team within the home.
* Supervise AmeriCorps members utilizing strengths and trauma-informed care-based approach.
* Conduct supervisory meetings monthly, check-ins (as needed) and formal mid-year reviews (in collaboration with AmeriCorps staff).
* Participate in on-call crisis rotation, providing phone support and in-person support as needed or warranted. After hours on-call will be paid.
* Report child abuse and/or neglect in accordance to Arizona State law.
* Any additional projects or tasks as assigned by Director of Family Services.
Education/ Experience:
* Bachelors preferred, with 2 years of experience with vulnerable population.

Additional Requirements:
* Must possess or have regular access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis.
* Must possess a valid Arizona driver license and active auto insurance.
* Must be able to comply and meet the national and state criminal background check, national sex offender registry, level one fingerprint clearance card, and a Motor Vehicle Records check as required by Maggie's Place.
* Ability to lift 30 lbs.
