Job Description:
Join Santander as a Solution Architect within the Solutions Architecture team. You will work closely with various architecture domains and business units, creating practical architectures aligned with IT principles and standards. Your role involves applying domain-specific knowledge, documenting complex architectures, and collaborating across global teams.
Responsibilities:
1. Apply domain and Decision Driven Design experience, utilizing frameworks such as BIAN, TOGAF, ArchiMate, and API & microservice architecture tools like Avolution Abacus to produce Solution Design Documents (SDD).
2. Lead end-to-end Solution Architecture, coordinating with other disciplines and aligning with Enterprise Architecture strategies.
3. Document current, transitional, and target architectures, and maintain strategic roadmaps.
4. Establish and manage strategies and roadmaps, engaging stakeholders across various technologies and geographies.
5. Possess knowledge of digital, API, microservices, Big Data, and cloud architectures, including AWS and Azure.
6. Experience in migrating from legacy systems to modern technologies and managing obsolescence.
Qualifications:
1. Experience in IT Systems Design and Solutions Architecture, preferably within financial institutions or regulated industries, with domain knowledge in Financial Crime or risk control frameworks.
2. Ability to develop practical architectures aligned with IT standards and governance.
3. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to influence stakeholders diplomatically.
4. Resilience and organizational skills to handle ambiguity and prioritize effectively.
5. Ability to learn quickly and manage risks in a regulated environment.
