To support the Programme Manager in leadership, management, and development of the diabetic screening team, deployment and supervision of staff and ensuring the coordination of services provided and being capable of deputising for the Programme Manager during periods of absence. Assisting with day-to-day management of the team and supporting the Programme Manager in the delivery of all aspects of patient/client care through the provision of effective clinical/administrative leadership. To assist in leading, motivating and supporting the team to facilitate best practice in both Sunderland and South Tyneside. Ensure that fundamental aspects of patient care are central to the team, patient safety is a priority and creating an environment where the patient experience is positive. To assist the Programme Manager in ensuring the Trusts business objectives and national and local targets are achieved. To take a lead role in ensuring best clinical/administrative practice and promoting the Trusts objectives and philosophy of continuous quality improvement. This includes the requirement to act as a positive role model and mentor, promoting all aspects of providing high quality patient care.
