We have an exciting opportunity for a Floating Support worker to join our Dyfed Powys Diversionary Scheme working across Ceredigion on a Part-time, permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to have a positive impact on those who have experience of the criminal justice system and offending behaviour.
It is essential that the successful candidate has a drivers licence and access to a car. We will also require a Non Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) check for this role, which we will pay for.

Our Offender Diversionary Scheme is a multi-agency service which seeks to address offending behaviour across four hubs. It is a culture-changing initiative that aims to tackle the root causation of offending and associated health and community related issues.
Joining our Floating Support team will give you the opportunity to learn and grow within the support sector. You will work with talented and experienced people whose passion is to support our clients into independent living and reduce the likelihood of re-offending.

What skills and experience do you need?
To be a great Support Worker, you need energy, enthusiasm, integrity and to treat people with dignity and respect.
You need to be reliable because people are depending on you. You also need to be a great communicator, both verbally and in writing and have basic IT and numerical skills.
To be a great Support Worker, you don’t always need previous experience or qualifications. A good understanding of housing related support and welfare benefits, or awareness of issues faced by people at risk of homelessness would be useful in the role.
