The Role
To deliver, coordinate and innovate the internal communication and engagement activity for the company, recommending, implementing, and reviewing communication strategies that are clear, engaging and create a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Internal Communications:
1. Working effectively with key stakeholders to ensure consistent and engaging communication across all internal channels
2. Develop and own the internal communications strategy, be the gatekeeper for the companies overarching business communication plan and assist in the updating of the companies’ goals and achievement to ensure consistent and effective messaging
3. Craft messages for companywide announcements and updates
4. Lead Internal channels, manage weekly updates, monthly highlights and team achievements, keeping content fresh and engaging
5. Use feedback and data insights to improve and measure communication tools
6. Be the main contact for the CEO in their communication strategy ensuring that there is a CEO annual communication plan and messaging/tone is in line with the companies Values
7. Collaborate with the HR Team to support the employee life cycle and the framework for listening groups
8. Ensure that all internal communication is within the company’s brand guidelines
9. Support the HR Director and Head of Talent & Organisational Development to ensure that the company’s vision, purpose, and values are brought to life at all employee levels
10. Encourage teams to share stories and posting on the company’s internal platform
Engagement
11. Working with the People Council to ensure that there is a calendar of engagement events for the hotels and CSO (such as food days, appreciation week etc) and to shape initiatives that create a positive and inclusive workplace culture
12. Make employee engagement events unforgettable, plan and manage the annual Wonderful People Awards with creative direction and precision
13. Manage the provider for our Employee Engagement survey
14. Working with the Head of HR Operations to provide summaries and analysis of the Engagement survey and work with the senior hotel teams and HRBPs to recommend actions and improvements. Monitor and report on progress on these actions
15. Work with the GMs and HRBPs to improve response rate for engagement surveys • Working with the HR COE Team evaluate levels of employee engagement and recommend and implement programmes designed to achieve and maintain positive change
16. Design policies that promote a positive work environment and enhance employee satisfaction
17. Support the ESG pillar committees with any employee engagement activities or communication such as ESG newsletters
18. Collaborate with HR Shared Services and Compensation and Benefits lead on the provision of employee benefits and methods of how we reward and recognise our teams
19. Adapt to the needs of the business to support key initiatives/projects
20. Assist with employee content and good news/fun stories that can be used on external channels
21. Build strong relationships with the HRBPs and the hotel teams to understand their needs
