Our client is a well-established, health and fitness club in the heart of Notting Hill, offering a premium wellness experience with state-of-the-art gym facilities, studios, a pool, and spa. With an exciting new club opening next Spring and a full refurbishment of the existing site, this is a fantastic opportunity to join the growing business at a pivotal moment.
We are looking for an Operations Manager to oversee the smooth running of the club and ensure an exceptional experience for members. This role is ideal for a proactive and experienced leader from a health & fitness or hospitality background, who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Schedule: 45 hours per week, including two weekends per month
Key Responsibilities include:
Member Experience
* Ensure a first-class member experience by resolving queries and concerns efficiently
* Support the team in delivering an effective member retention strategy
* Be a visible and approachable leader, particularly during peak hours
* Act as the club’s Health & Safety Officer, ensuring compliance with all safety policies and procedures
* Oversee fire safety, including regular alarm testing and logbook maintenance
* Maintain pool & spa safety, ensuring accurate record-keeping
* Train staff on emergency protocols and health & safety procedures
* Maintain high cleanliness standards across all areas of the club
What We’re Looking For:
* Ideally 2 years’ management experience in operations - ideally within a health club or hospitality setting
* Experience with Health & Safety compliance / maintenance checks
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Ability to work under pressure and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Goal-oriented, with the ability to track and achieve key performance indicators
