Its mission is to promote, prepare, sustain and restore optimal physical, mental and social well-being of Service Personnel, maximising fitness for role, to contribute to deployed operational capability. The HQ DMS Business Management Function have delegated responsibility on behalf of Director General DMS for management of resourcing and the workforce budget (circa £500m), and have a fundamental role in supporting and enabling strategic planning and delivery of Business Services to support organisational outputs. UKStratCom aims to develop the business services and capabilities that their Business Management Function provides and align to the ODP career pathway and extensive Learning and Development offer to aid progression and development of its talent This post is based at DMS Whittington and is part of Strategic and Healthcare Plans. We work alongside a wider Business Services Functions which includes Corporate Governance, Planning, Performance and Risk, Secretariat and Communications and media teams. Strategic Command is going through a significant transformation programme which aims to improve the way the Command conducts its business and delivers for Defence and the nation. As a consequence of this, all posts within Strategic Command Headquarters and in time the wider organisation, are/will be subject to review and potential changes as we continuously improve across the period of the transformation programme. Job description You will collaborate with colleagues from across UKStratCom Business Operations functions including Finance, HR, Commercial and Project Delivery professionals to deliver business services which enable delivery of DMS strategic goals. The duties and responsibilities of the role may include, but are not limited to: Administrative support to the workforce approvals process and maintaining accurate records of workforce and budget changes, Administrative support to contracts and invoicing, Displaying the values of a leader within your team. Collaborating effectively with others, positively challenging and improving the way we do things. Identifying and reporting risks within my area of responsibility. Identifying development opportunities. Supporting internal communications. Developing own knowledge of structures of the MOD, RN, Army, RAF, UKStratCom, DMS and Civil Service.
