Description
This is an exciting opportunity, in which the successful candidate will provide accurate analysis, business process mapping and requirement gathering from stakeholders to support change and operational activities within PoloWorks.
The post holder must be an experienced and results-focussed business analyst, with previous London Market insurance sector experience.

Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct detailed analysis of business processes, systems, and data flows to identify areas for improvement.
2. Translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
3. Analyse and improve business processes within the insurance domain, particularly London Market operations.
4. Collaborate on development and maintenance of project documentation, including business cases, requirement specifications, process maps, and test plans.
5. Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to gather insights and feedback from stakeholders.
6. Collaborate with project managers, IT teams, and business units to deliver projects on time and within scope.
7. Identify issues and effectively communicate/escalate to management, to ensure that outputs are of the required quality.
8. Create and maintain communications such as spreadsheets, communications, PowerPoint and Visio presentations.
9. Assist in the evaluation process of new vendor applications.
10. Develop effective working relationships with colleagues across Polo Works, customers and third parties to facilitate collaborative working.
11. Participate in regular and ad-hoc project work as necessary.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
1. Identify areas of improvement and provide solutions for business change.
2. Present findings, requirements and problem statements for ratification to stakeholders and working groups.
3. Work with complex data sets and provide information in a timely manner in an easily understood format.
4. Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills and to explain complex subjects clearly and concisely.
5. Effectively conduct data gathering and analysis.
6. Work effectively with key stakeholders both within Polo Works and with external organisations.
7. Understanding of the insurance industry, ideally the London market.
8. A good standard of education with a qualification in business/ finance/economics or similar.
9. IT skills MS office including Visio, PowerPoint, Word and good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
