EQUANS is recruiting for a Relief Security Officer to be based at Salford Hospital located in Salford M6 8HD. This is a permanent, full-time role working 42 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £27,.72 Plus added enhancements for weekend and night work.
Shift Pattern: Weekdays & Weekends (7am-7pm & 7pm-7am)
As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment within the hospital premises. You will patrol designated areas, monitor surveillance systems, and respond to incidents promptly and professionally. Your role will involve enforcing hospital policies, assisting with emergency situations, and providing support to hospital staff as needed.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct regular patrols to ensure the security of all hospital areas.
2. Monitor security cameras and alarms to identify potential security risks.
3. Respond to emergencies, including medical emergencies and security breaches.
4. Assist with the management of access control systems and visitor management procedures.
5. Collaborate with hospital staff and local law enforcement agencies as necessary.
6. Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff members.
Requirements
Essential:
7. Applicants with prior security, law enforcement, or military experience are preferred.
8. Clear DBS standard level clearance.
9. Hold an SIA Licence
10. Full 5 years address history
11. Full 5 years work or education history.
Preferred:
12. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
13. Knowledge of security procedures and protocols
14. Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
15. Additional training in security or related fields is a plus.
16. Display customer-focused behaviour
17. Demonstrate respect, flexibility, and confidence.
18. Awareness of healthcare environment sensitivities.
19. Making a difference by contributing to the safety and well-being of patients and staff.
