Based in South Wales, this company is among the fastest growing manufacturers in the UK and has been consistent in their success since the start. Having won multiple awards and achieved international recognition for their unique and innovative products, they have recently seen an exciting period of growth. Working as part of a growing in-house design team, you will be involved in leading the machinery design for their South Wales factory as well as being involved in future projects to establish new manufacturing facilities overseas.
In this role, you will be working as a senior member of a close-knit design team responsible for the design and optimisation of innovative manufacturing lines. There will be a requirement to be on site at times, but also flexibility for hybrid working. You will be involved in full lifecycle design, including detailing and verification, component selection and procurement, and build and commissioning support. You will maximise reliability and quality of the production line whilst ensuring conformity with machinery safety regulations. The company utilises SolidWorks, so a strong background in the package would be beneficial, although any other similar software would be suitable. You will have the opportunity to work with and mentor more junior members of the team and graduate engineers.
The company is looking to add a couple of engineers to the team with a mix of backgrounds. Experience in any of the following would be considered: Weldment Design, Moving Mechanical Design, Machinery Safety, P&ID Diagrams, Pneumatic Controls, Hydraulic Controls, Pressure Systems, Web Handling Systems, CE Marking.
