The Opportunity As an Occupational Health Shift Nurse at EDF, you will play a crucial role in promoting health and wellbeing among our employees at Torness Power Station. Pay, Benefits & Culture Alongside a competitive salary ranging from £38,505 - £42,383 plus an annual shift allowance from £12,257. You’ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications. What You’ll Be Doing As our next Occupational Health Shift Nurse, you will offer a focused driven mindset for all Occupational Health matters, liaising with staff as appropriate. You will provide comprehensive advice and guidance on statutory legislation affecting Occupational Health for our EDF employees. Your responsibilities will include conducting health surveillance, fitness for work medicals, MyHealth First assessments, and employee wellbeing screenings. You will also perform drug and alcohol testing, provide mental health advice, and offer guidance on personal protective equipment. Additionally, you will organise health promotion information, update and maintain accurate health records, and assist the Occupational Health Advisor in monitoring compliance with statutory requirements. You will be an integral part of the station/site emergency first aid/response team, ensuring medical confidentiality and supporting the Occupational Health Advisor with data collation for audit purposes. Who You Are To excel as an Occupational Health Shift Nurse at EDF, we seek individuals who embody a strong foundation in healthcare. As a minimum, you will be a NMC Registration with previous occupational health experience preferred but not essential. All roles will require you to demonstrate your commitment to continuous professional development. Your expertise in medical confidentiality, ethics, and accountability will be essential in providing comprehensive and responsible care to our EDF employees.
