Main duties of the job
The Southampton Medicines Advice Service at the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust (UHS) is pleased to offer an opportunity for a friendly and enthusiastic pharmacist to cover maternity leave in our team.

Job responsibilities
You will provide a clinically-focused service, advising doctors, nurses, and pharmacists in primary and secondary care on safe patient treatment. Additionally, you will operate a busy patient helpline, advising our Trust's patients about their medicines.
The role includes tutoring band 6 pharmacists on clinical problem-solving and assessing band 7 clinical pharmacists to achieve ward-based competence.
We are looking for a pharmacist with an understanding of practical medicine use, the problems they can cause, and how to overcome them. Relevant experience and a commitment to our mission are essential. A background in medicines information and clinical pharmacy is required.

Qualifications, knowledge, and experience
* Master's degree in pharmacy or equivalent.
* Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent experience.
* Demonstrated Advanced Stage 1 competencies in the RPS Advanced Pharmacy Framework or equivalent.
* Post-registration experience in clinical pharmacy and medicines information relevant to this role.
* Experience in project management, planning, and implementing developments.
* Some teaching experience and assessment of others.
* Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
