37.5 hrs per week from Monday to Friday 8.30am – 17.00pm
We have a vacancy in our Continuous Improvement team for a Process and Quality Engineer. This role will be responsible for providing technical improvements to all production, specifically equipment, process and materials.
Main responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):
* Monitoring of the process to ensure all machines and equipment are operated to optimise performance, maintain production and maximise yields. Daily and weekly reporting to identify underperforming areas in the factory; analyse root cause, plan, implement and deliver solutions (both trouble shooting and problem-solving process issues using lean tools).
* Play a leading role in implementation of best CI practices ensuring coaching for all operational department and analysing success.
* Train and Implement the deployment and use of process and quality improvement tools to Quality and Operational Leadership.
* Participate as a project champion and/or key team member in leading quality improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
* Support the BRC, FSC, SMETA and customer audits, customer visits, quality forums and problem-solving projects.
* Lead the review, investigation, and corrective action process for major suspensions and customer complaints.
* Internal auditing of the quality system.
* Research new equipment and processes to enable the achievement of optimum levels of Quality, Cost & Cycle Time, and (OEE performance).
The ideal candidate will have:
* Strong analytical skills;
* Experience of meeting multiple deadlines whilst maintaining high standards;
* Good communication skills with all levels of employees, customers and suppliers;
* Previous experience in a quality role, including with BRC, ISO9001, FMEA and continuous improvement;
* Trained Quality Auditor;
* Knowledge of FSC, BRC, SMETA;
* Experience using Process capability index (Cpk);
