Our work is essential to enable HS2 trains to travel between London and Birmingham. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Competency Administrator within the Routewide Logistics. This role will be based on site in Kingsbury, Birmingham. Role responsibilities; Site Access Management - Administer and oversee the Workforce Management system to ensure all workforce members have the necessary accreditation and induction to access BBV project sites. - Manage the registration and verification process for all personnel entering the site, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project-specific requirements. - Monitor and update access permissions, responding to requests from project teams and site managers. Industry Accreditation and Compliance - Verify and record all necessary industry accreditations for BBV workforce members, ensuring that all personnel are compliant with regulatory and project-specific standards. - Liaise with training providers and certification bodies to confirm the validity of accreditations and update records accordingly. Site Induction Administration - Coordinate and administer site inductions for all new personnel, ensuring that they receive the required information and training before accessing project sites. - Track and manage the completion of site inductions, maintaining accurate records within the Competency Administrator system. -Support the development and updating of induction materials as needed. Data Management and Reporting - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the Workforce Management system, ensuring data integrity and compliance with data protection regulations. - Generate and distribute regular reports on site access, workforce accreditations, and induction completion to project stakeholders. - Provide administrative support for audits and inspections related to workforce competency and site access. Experienced required Qualification in business administration, communication, IT or related field Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Excel and Project in particular Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within the construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors. Familiarity with industry accreditation and competency frameworks (e.g., CSCS, CPCS). Experience administering cloud-based systems is highly desirable. Strong organisational and data management skills, with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Our work with HS2 Balfour Beatty VINCI have been awarded a 90km section of the HS2 project from Long Itchington in Warwickshire to the centre of Birmingham and then on to Handsacre in Staffordshire.
