Red Door is seeking an experienced landscape foreman to oversee projects in our landscape build department. We are a full service Victoria, BC based landscape company that prides itself in delivering creative, tasteful and high quality installations to our clients. Our current crew is professional, inclusive, confident and enjoyable to work with. The right candidate will have extensive hardscape experience leading construction projects valued over $100k, including pavers, concrete, machine operation and materials handling as well as some or all of the following landscape related fields:
* Reading plans, site layout and grading
* Equipment operation
* Outdoor carpentry
* Hardscape installations
* Drainage
* Water features
* Irrigation
Job duties include:
* Manage and complete landscape construction projects including: labour and equipment, scheduling, subcontractor and material requirements, with assistance from our in-house designer and admin team.
* Manage the safety, quality, and productivity of sites
* Read, interpret, and adapt designs and site plans
* Assist in the planning of projects prior to production
* Supervise, coordinate and schedule a crew of 3-5 employees
* Ensure projects are accomplished on budget
* Coordinate with other departments (irrigation, planting, maintenance) to efficiently execute projects
* Operate various tools and equipment including heavy machinery, jackhammers, laser levels, cut off saws, carpentry tools etc.
* Complete and submit project records on a daily basis including time and materials summary, expenses, equipment use etc.
* Maintain and enforce standards of cleanliness and organization in assigned company vehicles, machinery and job sites.
This is a role that relies on someone dependable and with extensive knowledge and confidence in the landscape industry. A valid class 5 driver's license is a must and candidates without one will not be considered. This position comes with a company vehicle and provisions for occasional office work.
