The Project Technician is central to our service delivery at RFIDentikit. You will use your coding and customer service skills to build environments that enable clients to manage their events in accordance with their security and access standards. You will work closely with clients to ensure their needs are met to a high standard.
You will be part of a team of project staff building event environments and liaising with clients throughout. Our Project Technicians are the face of our business on-site and from our office worldwide.
JOB SUMMARY
The Project Manager oversees all aspects of a project's success, taking responsibility for its delivery.
Working with the Projects team and management, you will liaise with clients from project initiation, understanding their needs, and fulfilling the brief efficiently using available resources.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary
1. Lead the delivery of live event management builds, including scope, budget, staffing, and build.
2. Create and manage relationships with new and existing clients, fostering business expansion.
3. Prepare quotes and contracts for events, updating them from initial exploration to completion.
4. Manage equipment for events using the warehouse stock system and order consumables as needed.
5. Handle project tasks, balancing workload, assigning tasks to Project Technicians, and ensuring accurate and timely records.
6. Conduct regular video calls and email communications with clients, providing a positive, solution-oriented approach, and leveraging your expertise to shape configurations.
7. Mentor team members and influence the Head of Operations with your experience.
8. Log and assign tasks through Jira, ensuring clarity and accuracy in requirements, contents, and timings.
9. Involve Project Technicians in client meetings and event builds, distributing work to support their development and challenge them.
10. Oversee configuration of our bespoke event management software and assets, maintaining best practices.
11. Maintain a positive and professional presence with colleagues, clients, and on-site staff.
Secondary
1. Proactively mentor and develop team skills, providing meaningful feedback to the Head of Operations.
2. Collaborate with other Project Managers and senior staff to refine processes and training.
3. Work with sales and new clients to initiate projects, plan timelines, take ownership, and ensure excellent customer service.
4. Contribute to planning, staffing, and strategic initiatives.
5. Coordinate the Projects team, ensuring staff and project managers are engaged and motivated.
6. Drive continuous improvement within the department.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE
Required
* Minimum of 2 years of Project Management experience, preferably in live events.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Jira.
* Background in live events and on-site experience.
* Knowledge of jQuery, React, Bootstrap, MySQL.
