The role:
1. Sharpen all required tooling
2. Identify and correct die problems independently or with reference to senior Die Maintenance Technician
3. Carry out die modifications
4. Spotting of die, wear plates and inserts
5. Perform welding assignments
6. Recognise and correct problems during die assembly/disassembly
7. Perform finishing assignments
8. Use measuring instruments
9. Finish parts to print, after machining is completed
10. Respond to Senior Die Maintenance Technician as required
11. Carry out training of other employees
12. Practice good housekeeping and safety procedures
13. Ensure compliance to Health and Safety Practice
14. Participate and lead information sharing, team working and Continuous Improvement Programmes
15. Comply with the Company Environmental Policy and requirements of the Environmental Management System, both in normal and emergency situations
16. Other duties as assigned

Essential Criteria:
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent from a mechanical maintenance background
* Strong team player with excellent communication skills, both oral and written
* Customer focus
* Results focus
* Able to work effectively on own initiative and effectively contribute within a team environment
* Able to see activities through to completion
* Available to work shifts
Desirable Criteria:
* Experience of tool fitting
* Welding experience
