For more information about the company visit https://www.barrettsteel.com/ All About the Role Based at Newark Steel Limited, Sylvan Way, Off the Old Great North Road, Balderton, Newark, NG24 3UT, the purpose of this role is to ensure customers’ orders are fulfilled to the highest standards in a fast-paced environment. The hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a shift pattern of 4:00pm – 12:00am. Specific tasks could include: Pick computer generated orders Loading/offloading lorries, picking orders and cutting orders to length Loading, cutting (Saws) and offloading of steel. Ensure all documentation is correctly actioned for accuracy of stock. Assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customers’ orders Keep work area clean and tidy maintain high levels of Health and Safety. Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements. Essential Skills for the role: The successful candidate will have experience as a Warehouse Operative but does not have to necessarily be in the Steel Industry as training will be given. Have a flexible attitude, be results oriented, and enjoy working in a team environment. Side-Loader/ Fork-Lift experience desirable, however training will be given. A strong commitment to Health & Safety.
