Project Manager – Construction
Main Contractor – £20m Student Accommodation Scheme
Site Location: Birmingham City Centre
We are currently searching for a Project Manager to lead a new Student Accommodation scheme in Birmingham. The scheme will see the refurbishment of 2 existing blocks along with the construction of 3 new traditional build blocks up to 3 storeys.
As Project Manager you will be the project lead reporting to a visiting Contracts Manager.
Role:
* Project Planning: Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and coordinate logistics.
* Team Leadership: Manage subcontractors, site teams, and ensure efficient collaboration.
* Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, approve variations, and ensure profitability.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure all work adheres to specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.
* Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
* Client and Stakeholder Liaison: Maintain clear communication and provide progress updates.
* Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
* Project Handover: Oversee final inspections, manage snag lists, and ensure timely completion.
Experience required:
* 5+ years’ experience delivering student accommodation/residential schemes as a Project Manager/Senior Site Manager roles.
* Strong communication skills and ability to effectively interface with client representatives.
* SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid are essential
