Great new opportunity as an Employment Law Consultant based in Peterborough for a leading multi-national retailer. The ideal candidate will have experience in all areas related to the human resources field but will have a strong focus on employment law. What you'll do Provide advisory guidance and coaching on Employment Law policy to the Region (c. 100 stores and a Regional Distribution Centre) to enable managers to deliver good people management practices, and ensuring consistent and fair decisions and legally compliant processes Deliver Employment Law updates and up-skilling as required, develop management technical skills, knowledge and confidence to ensure the effective application of Employment Law policies Support managers and Directors to promote best practice in a clear and concise way, to ensure managers implement & adhere to HR policies and practices Analyse trends and ensure compliance with legally compliant policies and processes, and interpreting, developing and implementing local measures Conduct hearings and appeals as appropriate Ideally you will have; Human Resources degree/ CIPD level 5 or higher Previous HR BP experience Significant labour law knowledge Understanding of best practices and ACAS codes Exceptional communication skills, able to connect with and influence people at all levels Full UK Driving Licence The ability to regularly travel within and outside of your geographical region This role offers hybrid working with 2/3 days per week in the office and the rest of the time out in the field (East Mids/East Anglia) or working from home.
