Purpose of the role:
Due to continued growth, LB Group is recruiting for an Accounts trainee to join the Accounts department in Orpington. The role will involve working to deliver a broad range of accounts services to our business clients. This opportunity would suit a part qualified individual who is looking to progress their career and study towards an ACCA or ACA qualification. Alternatively, the role would be suitable to an individual who is not studying but who has a strong practice background.
Accountabilities:
With support, you will take responsibility for assisting seniors and managers to work on a portfolio of clients, assisting with:
1. Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for a mix of Sole Traders, partnerships, LLPs and Limited Companies.
2. Preparation of basic corporation tax returns.
3. Assist with preparation of VAT returns.
4. Supporting members of the team in accounts & bookkeeping work.
5. Collaboratively working with other departments within our group.
6. Additional responsibilities as and when identified in association with expectations of the role.
Skills/Qualifications:
1. Started or seeks to study towards AAT qualification.
2. Basic practice experience.
3. Strong IT/Microsoft abilities.
4. A professional approach with the ability to communicate with clients both via email & over phone/face to face.
5. Full UK driving licence with own/access to car desirable for client visits.
6. Familiar with CCH, Sage, QuickBooks, Xero (desirable).
