About the role We’re looking for a growth and customer oriented Engineering Manager to guide and further develop our engineers across our cross functional product squads within our Growth alliance. You will be responsible for the technical design and delivery of exceptional products that acquire and activate customers within our marketplace, as well as the wellbeing and development of your reports. Responsibilities You’ll be responsible for all people management of multiple squads and engineers (4-8 direct reports) Responsible for all hiring & team development within your area to support our growth, at various seniority levels (juniors, seniors, qa), and then coaching and developing them to deliver on the roadmap Working closely with your counterparts in Product, Design, Data and the wider Engineering team to build high-performing cross-functional teams so that they deliver impact on our company mission in the most effective way possible. You’ll be responsible for all technical leadership within your areas of ownership; this means actively seeking out opportunities to improve or optimise processes, participating in design sessions, reviewing technical proposals and developing the technical roadmap Maximising impact: Collaborate closely with your partners in product and design to define and own the execution of the most impactful initiatives High-performing teams: build driven and high-performing teams by focusing on the development of our engineers Architecture: Work closely with your team to provide feedback on architecture and approach. Enable your team to deliver scalable, maintainable, and secure products Engineering culture: Build and influence a culture of ownership, autonomy, and inclusivity, not just within your team but the whole department.
