Position Summary: The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of professionals in delivering accurate and competitive electrical system estimates for projects valued between £200k and £3m. The role demands precision, excellent numerical skills, and the ability to leverage Trimble software for efficient estimations. Key Responsibilities: Accurately estimate electrical projects by analyzing proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents. Determine project costs, labour requirements, materials, and time schedules. Compile and present detailed estimates including both numerical and descriptive information. Ensure data integrity in cost databases through regular updates and backups. Enhance professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications. Contribute to team objectives by accomplishing related results as needed. Collaborate closely with team members, clients, and subcontractors to refine estimates and secure competitive bids. Utilize Trimble software for all estimating tasks to ensure precision and efficiency. Qualifications: Demonstrable experience in electrical estimating. Proficiency with Trimble estimating software. Comprehensive knowledge of multiple sectors including commercial, industrial, residential, educational, and heritage. Exceptional analytical, mathematical, and technical skills. Effective communication and negotiation abilities. Strong capability to interpret technical documents and blueprints. Preferably holding a degree in electrical engineering, quantity surveying, or a related discipline.
