Our client is a two form entry primary academy located in the centre of Blackpool (FY1) with accessible local
public transport routes and public parking options. They are a new build school with a large amount of internal
space for learning and activities. This school has an inclusive approach with mixed ability classes and a 40
SEN pupil count. They are on the lookout for a confident TA with prior SEN or care experience who has the ability
to build and develop a productive relationship with a pupil, providing support with their attainment, personal and
emotional development. While you will be assigned to work with a pupil you will also have the chance to swap out
with other TAs to encourage the childs independence and prevent a velcro learning relationship.
They are currently seeking a general classroom TA for Y6/ Y3 and Y1 to support duties such as resource
printing, preparation of activities, tidying, setting up, small group support, 1:1 support and record keeping.
Fluency with IPADS and strong IT skills will be needed. Ideally you will be someone who has strong behaviour
management skills, control, experience in with relevant key stages and showcase intuitive skills. You will be
regarded as part of a team and included in training, INSET and staff meetings.
This role is term time only, Monday : Friday 8:30:3:30 on a temporary contract via randstad for two terms
support. Pay is currently at GBP13.50:GBP14 per hour with review at AWR and when April minimum wage increases.
