Dawsongroup plc, a leader in municipalcleaning solutions, is looking for an Account Manager Construction Sector to join our expanding team and take ownership of our rental and sales operations within the region. About the Role As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving both short- and long-term rentals of our municipalproduct range. Youll be the face of Dawsongroup for the construction sector in the South of England, working to maintain high equipment utilisation and exceeding customer expectations. Key Responsibilities Customer Engagement: Build and maintain regular contact with decision-makers in the construction sector, optimising opportunities for rentals and direct sales through tenders, site surveys, and customer visits. Business Development: Research potential customers using trade publications, past contracts, industry insights, and personal networks. Rental & Sales Growth: Identify opportunities for new rental business while maximising returns through second-hand equipment sales and joint enquiries with suppliers and manufacturers. Relationship Management: Collaborate with Area Sales Executives, Branch Sales Managers, and other teams to align efforts with company sales plans. Customer Support: Stay in close contact with branch activities to address new business leads or resolve customer complaints. Market Awareness: Monitor industry trends and adjust strategies to maintain a competitive edge and high market position. Reporting: Complete administrative tasks accurately and produce timely reports for the Divisional Director. What Were Looking For Proven experience in account management, business development, or a similar sales-focused role. Strong understanding of the construction and/or municipal equipment sector. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and close deals. Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver results. Familiarity with tendering processes and conducting site surveys is a plus.
