Industry Placement & Work Experience Officer Full Time / Permanent contract Salary banding – Full Time - £28,741 - £31,389To work with the Head of Careers & Work Experience delivering the College's Industry Placement/work experience programme which ensures T Level/study programme students are prepared and successfully complete placements. Working collaboratively with curriculum teams to integrate work placements into all study programmes. The role focuses on developing employer relationships to build capacity for T-level qualifications and study programmes delivery, whilst ensuring work placements are timely and meaningful for students. Working with employers, students and staff, you will develop and deliver activities and events to maximise opportunities for students to gain practical skills in safe, relevant work settings and enable them to compete in the current job market. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Employer Engagement & Partnership Development • Build and manage a network of employer partnerships to secure high-quality industry placements and work experience opportunities • Collaborate with the Business Development team to organize and deliver employer engagement events • Ensure all placements meet legal, health and safety, and safeguarding requirements • Maintain regular communication with employers to gather feedback and enhance placement quality Student Support & Placement Management • Assess student career aspirations and match them with appropriate placement opportunities • Deliver preparation sessions and resources to ensure students are workplace-ready • Monitor student progress through regular site visits and formal reviews • Track attendance and address any placement-related issues promptly • Coordinate with curriculum teams to align placements with academic requirements Quality Assurance & Reporting • Maintain accurate records of all placement activities using college systems • Produce regular reports on placement metrics and outcomes • Gather and analyse stakeholder feedback to continuously improve the program • Ensure compliance with funding requirements and awarding body criteria • Document success stories and maintain impact evidence through case studies Required Qualifications & Experience • Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant field • Minimum 2 years' experience in employer engagement or work placement coordination • Proven track record of building successful business relationships • Experience working in education or training environment (preferred) Technical Skills • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) • Experience with student record systems and databases • Excellent data analysis and reporting capabilities • Strong presentation and digital communication skills Working Conditions • Regular travel to employer sites may be required • Some evening work may be required for employer events • Hybrid working available (minimum 3 days on campus) WHAT WE OFFER: Generous Salary Automatic entry into the local pension Scheme.
