An exciting opportunity has arisen for a MDT Co-Ordinator to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will need excellent organisational/communication skills including an outstanding telephone manner as well as excellent keyboard skills, be competent in Microsoft packages and be able to demonstrate an understanding of confidentiality. This post would be suitable for applicants who enjoy working as part of a busy team. The role requires daily interaction with a variety of staffing groups, patients as well as other hospital departments so good communication is essential as well as a patient-centered approach. Ideal candidates will have previous relevant NHS experience in an admin role and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of how to manage the challenges that this role can bring. The post holder will manage and prioritise their own workload on a daily basis and use their initiative and discretion to manage the competing priorities. The ability to work well under pressure is essential. The successful candidate will need to be flexible to the needs of the service and be committed to high-quality patient care.
Main duties of the job
* The post holder will provide a comprehensive administrative and clerical role that will ensure the smooth function of the multi-disciplinary team meetings and provide Admin/Secretarial support to wards and inpatient consultants.
* The post holder will also be required to provide support to both the inpatient Consultants and wards.
* Ensuring that the ward clerk function of the service is completed.
* Supporting the inpatient consultants with admin/secretarial tasks as required.

Job responsibilities
* Establishes and ensures the continuation of effective communication, working as a member of the Older Persons Mental Health Team.
* Establish working relationships with a wide range of personnel within and out with this trust.
* Disseminates information and communicates to MDT members and relevant departments within the trust and externally as required and according to trust policy.
* Communicate efficiently at all levels with a wide range of Medical, Clinical, non-clinical staff and Allied Health Professionals.
* Ensures adequate communication with all team members on a regular basis.
* Ensures that a copy of the reports are uploaded to EMIS and copy placed in patients notes and communicated in a timely manner to relevant parties.
* Liaises with the information department as necessary.
