About the Role:
Our Client is looking for a motivated Junior Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join their expanding team. This is a unique opportunity for someone eager to immerse themselves in the commercial interiors industry while working closely with the Commercial Team. Reporting to the Commercial Lead, you'll be a vital link between the commercial and project management teams, supporting seamless project delivery from initial estimation through to final project close. This role is ideal for someone with an eye for detail, a knack for multitasking, and a drive to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Tender Review & Estimation: Assist in the review and estimation of tenders, providing accurate pricing for all project stages.
2. Cash Flow & Contract Management: Support cash flow projections, manage contract matters, and handle requests for time extensions and information.
3. Client Interaction: Occasionally represent Our Client in client-facing meetings, supporting the Project Manager when required.
4. Order Placement & Cost Analysis: Complete cost analysis before placing orders and manage orders for subcontracted labor.
5. Variation Costing & Client Approvals: Prepare and cost variations, securing client approvals to keep projects on track.
6. Project Valuation & Site Visits: Provide valuation documents, conduct site inspections, and review subcontractor accounts.
7. Cost Reporting: Assist in comprehensive cost reporting and re-costing to support accurate project tracking.
About You:
