Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Preston, Lancashire
Salary: £40,000 per annum plus bank holidays
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm (overtime available at additional rates)
Holidays: 20 days per year plus bank holidays

Key Responsibilities:
1. Fabrication and Welding: Perform fabrication and welding tasks to maintain and repair machinery.
2. Fault Finding and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues in hydraulic and mechanical systems.
3. Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance on pumps, bearings, and mechanical drives.
4. Electrical Work: Apply your electrical experience to support various maintenance activities.
5. Equipment Operation: Operate laminating lines, guillotines, reel stands, and conveyor systems, and perform die cutting.
6. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities adhere to stability standards and industry regulations.
7. Project Work: Utilize tunnelling experience for specific projects.
8. Continuous Improvement: Work collaboratively with the team to identify improvement opportunities and implement effective solutions.
9. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks and equipment performance.
Requirements:
10. Fabrication and Welding Skills: Ability to fabricate and weld to a high standard.
11. Electrical Experience: Some level of electrical experience is required.
