Capgemini Engineering is seeking to appoint a Staffing Manager (SM).
The Staffing Manager will work collaboratively to manage the dynamic allocation of resources across a number of engineering units to meet work demands with the aim of maximising resource productivity within the priorities of the engineering units: right capability in the right place at the right time (R3).
The Staffing Manager will need to liaise with the Engineering Unit Managers, Engineers, Talent Acquisition, Sales, Delivery and Procurement to achieve this.
The Staffing Manager will be responsible for optimising allocations of both permanent and contingent engineers within the engineering units they are aligned with.
The Staffing Manager will need to work collaboratively with Staffing Managers across Capgemini Engineering in support of delivering both within their assigned engineering units and across the business.
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role
* Ensure R3 across a number of Engineering Units.
* Ensure capability supply aligns with demand and if there is a skills gap that actions are in place to address the gap, including up or re-skilling.
* Acting as the Business Partner to the Engineering Unit Directors in achieving R3.
* Utilise all of the sources of supply to meet demands e.g. internally, recruitment, contingent workforce and off shoring.
* Ensure data capture and integrity of allocations, bench, rotation and attrition – including but not limited to within the WHOZ tool.
* Analyse and report on both actual and forecast allocations, attrition and grade pyramids on weekly, monthly and annual windows.
* Maintain pyramids for larger projects to optimise resourcing skills.
* Ensure bench time is used effectively.
* Ensures CVs for resources are up to date as well as the skills map.
* Ensure rotation of resources for diversification of resources’ skills and experiences.

Your skills and experience
* A good degree or equivalent experience.
* Good understanding of the market and engineering.
* 5+ years of successfully delivering and service implementation.
* Experience of working at management level.
* Experience of successfully delivering complexity in business through the achievement of business and project milestones.
* Management of resource risk through the lifecycle of bid and delivery of projects.
* A developed understanding of how resources support and enable within an engineering business.
* A developed understanding of identifying and enabling through up/re skilling.
* Knowledge of RETAIN or WHOZ or Pick Your Skills (Resource Management Applications).
