Job Overview The team are looking for an enthusiastic and reflective Senior Clinical Psychologist to work alongside the LIFT Team Manager and other specialists to lead the service, providing supervision, training, direct clinical work and assessments. An understanding of child development and the ability to formulate considering multiple factors influencing behaviours is essential. You will contribute to service development including measuring outcomes and communicating findings to the wider team and LIFT steering group. Opportunities for professional development are encouraged. As part of the wider CAMHS Psychology network, you will have regular peer support, supervision and contribute to the North Wales Clinical Psychology program. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will undertake a range of assessments with children, young people and their families and deliver appropriate therapeutic interventions. They will promote psychological thinking and formulation within a multidisciplinary team and provide consultation to multi-agency professionals and families. Supervision of others, delivery of training, leadership and service development will also form an integral part of this development role. We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist who has relevant experience and can evidence their commitment to clinical quality, evidence-based practice and maintaining high professional standards for themselves and others. On commencing in post, the successful applicant will have a development plan (if appropriate) and agree a target timescale of between 6 months and 2 years for completion, depending on current skills and experience. Regular clinical supervision will be provided by a Senior Clinical Psychologist. Promotion to a substantive 8a post will be achieved on fulfilling required competencies. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria Honours Degree in Psychology Eligibility for Graduate membership of the British Psychological Society Post-graduate Doctoral qualification in Clinical Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996 or for those trained overseas), as accredited by the British Psychological Society Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. Desirable criteria Pre-qualification training and qualifications in research methodology, staff training and/or other fields of applied psychology Experience Essential criteria Assessed experience of working as a qualified clinical psychologist, normally including significant post-qualification experience within the designated speciality where the post is located, or relevant transferable skills Demonstration of further specialist training / experience through having received extensive and demonstrable clinical supervision of working as a clinical psychologist or an alternative agreed by the Head of Clinical Psychology Services Desirable criteria Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision
