Bid Solutions is currently recruiting for a Bid Manager to join an award-winning printing organisation. The Bid Manager role involves identifying and evaluating new business opportunities, collaborating with the sales team to prequalify them, and ensuring alignment with the company’s sales strategy. Responsibilities include managing the tender writing process, communicating through online portals, and submitting bids on time. Experience of bidding within the printing industry is essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and pre-qualify new business opportunities with the sales team from various sources (e.g., online portals, emails) to align with the company’s sales strategy.
* Manage the entire bid writing process from start to finish.
* Assemble and lead the bid project team to deliver timely and compelling responses as per client requirements.
* Handle clarification questions and answers through relevant client channels (e.g., e-tendering portals, email).
* Schedule and prepare for internal review and sign-off meetings, presenting bid documentation with key stakeholders (e.g., sales leads, client services, procurement).
* Proofread final bids to ensure format, layout, and content meet response guidelines and achieve high quality.
* Maintain accurate records of bid status and outcomes in SharePoint and HubSpot.
* Collaborate with the sales lead to understand prospective customer needs and align solutions and services accordingly.
* Liaise with SMEs to gather necessary information for accurate bid responses.
* Support the sales team in creating compelling client-facing pitches and presentations.
* Manage the internal library of bid resources on SharePoint.
* Assist Marketing with ad hoc sales content as needed.
* Coordinate with the internal creative studio to create bespoke, highly visual bid responses.
* Support the integration of AI into the bid and sales processes.
* Proactively seek innovative ways to enhance and streamline bid and sales processes.
Essential Skills / Experience
* Proven experience in managing the complete bid process within the printing industry.
* Effective communicator, skilled in liaising with senior stakeholders.
* Competent writer, adept at simplifying and conveying complex sales solutions.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and SharePoint; experience with InDesign, Copilot, and HubSpot is a plus.
* Positive and proactive team player, capable of thriving in a busy and diverse environment.
* Skilled in reviewing and pre-qualifying bid opportunities and presenting rationale to internal stakeholders.
