Sales and Production Administrator required for established engineering company in Ipswich. Working as part of the dedicated internal sales team the successful candidate’s overall responsibility will be to respond to enquiries and administer customer orders, in a timely and efficient manner.
Duties will include:
* Responding to and following up sales enquiries, including quotations of standard products and instrumentation, using appropriate methods.
* Processing and managing customer orders for new products and calibration of existing equipment.
* Entering new orders on to the Company’s Sage 200 based sales order system and producing acknowledgements, despatch notes and invoices.
* Booking transportation with freight forwarders and prepare appropriate customs paperwork where appropriate.
* Working in conjunction with the Production and Service Controller, assisting with ensuring new works orders are processed and delivery dates are met.
* Maintaining contact with customers to update them as orders progress.
* Answering and responding to incoming calls and sales emails.
* Maintaining and developing a computerised customer and prospect database.
Applicants must have previous experience of customer service, ideally within manufacturing or engineering but this is not essential. Good IT literacy required.
