This reputable organisation located in Sheffield are seeking a skilled Finance Assistant to join their esteemed team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining all financial operations.
Your new role
This dynamic and engaging Finance Assistant position involves working closely with the Accounts and Payroll Manager to ensure the seamless operation of the accounts management system. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Performing bank reconciliations.
2. Collecting, verifying, and processing invoices and receipts.
3. Implementing a purchase order system and supporting the purchase ledger.
4. Assisting with invoicing and managing credit control.
5. Addressing unreconciled and outstanding items.
6. Contributing to the preparation of monthly management accounts.
7. Assisting with year-end financial preparations.
8. Providing support for pension management.
9. Offering backup assistance for payroll tasks.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience working in a similar busy Finance Assistant role - preferably 2 years' experience in accounting or bookkeeping. You will need:
1. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
2. Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and addressing client enquiries.
3. Proficiency in accounting software, such as Xero.
4. Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
