You'll be responsible for:
* Develop an awareness of the overall project lifecycle in line with Mace way (control centre) from design through to handover.
* Developing an understanding of current planning/schedule management methodologies.
* Building an understanding of the common tool sets used.
* Good attention to detail.
* Working within multidisciplinary teams as directed by the manager to contribute towards creating plans, analysing trends using numerical and statistical techniques.
* Understanding overall project process in line with Mace way (control centre) from design through to handover.
* Awareness of current methodologies & tools to manage/analyse develop planning/schedule information related to projects (e.g. MS Excel, PRA, MS Project, Primavera P6; Acumen Fuse).
* Introductory & increasing level of competency of core planning/schedule management related applications.
* Good attention to detail & able to validate, draft (as required) & check planning/schedule reports produced.
You'll need to have:
* Exposure of working as a Primavera P6 project planner on large scale construction/civils/infrastructure projects ideally for a tier 1 contractor or a client side consultancy.
* A construction related degree (civil/structural engineering, or construction/project management or equivalent).
* Digital savviness, ability to build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams.
* Experience of working on large projects/programmes.
* A construction or project management background and eagerness to grow your career.
* Experience in working in a large portfolio of projects.
* Mentoring and upskilling of inexperienced planners.
* Implementation of planning principles within the project management community.
* Experience working with a large range of stakeholders.
* Planning of complicated infrastructure projects and summarisation of these into portfolio level schedules.
* Experienced P6 user (P6 pro).
* Familiarity with P6 EPPM (Web) - for config management.
* Management of large data sets into simple reporting formats, through coding and layout manipulation.
* Baseline control and config.
* Schedule import and export.
You'll also have:
* Experience with NEC construction/civils/infrastructure - rail stations, retail, living accommodation, offices, workshops, sports facilities, associated infrastructure.
* Familiarity with other planning software - Microsoft Project, Asta Power Project.
* Schedule risk analysis (QSRA).
* P6 configuration management - user access, OBS creation and management, user profiles, OBS assignation.
* Set up and use of resources - future project not yet required.
* Use of P6 for EVM - future project not yet required.
