An exciting new training opportunity has been created for an ambitious and motivated clinical pharmacist with an interest in learning to optimise the pharmaceutical care of critically unwell adult patients.
The successful post holder will join our established and well respected team of specialist critical care pharmacists, technicians and medicines management assistants. You will work directly with the wider MDT to deliver safe and effective evidence based treatment to some of the sickest patients within the Trust.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve working clinically to gain experience across all adult level 3 and level 2 areas including cardiac critical care and high dependency unit.
There will opportunities for proactive individuals to be involved in project and audit work to develop your own skills whilst enhancing patient care and medicines safety.
As a senior member of the pharmacist team you will help support and mentor the junior members of the team. You will also participate in the teaching of undergraduate pharmacists and the wider critical care multi-disciplinary team.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will be expected to work cross-site on both the QMC and City Campus .
You will also be required to participate in weekend and bank holiday arrangements over a 7 day period and support the on-call pharmacists through the senior pharmacist back-up rota.

1. GPhC registered
2. Diploma/MSc in clinical pharmacy or other appropriate post graduate qualification

6. Wide previous experience (post registration) in hospital pharmacy
7. Broad knowledge base of clinical areas
8. Experience of day to day supervision and assisting in training of pre-registration pharmacists and/or technicians
