The Role: As a Security Officer with Securitas, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our client’s premises in Dunstable. Your duties will vary but will include conducting regular patrols, managing incidents, monitoring the control room, and providing a welcoming and professional reception service. You’ll be the first point of contact for all security-related matters, responding quickly and efficiently to incidents. Job Title: Security Officer Location: Dunstable, LU5 4TB Pay: £14.02 per hour Hours: Average 42 hours per week Shift Pattern: 4 Days (0700-1900), 4 Off, 4 Nights (1900-0700), 4 Off. Make a real difference in the safety and well-being of those you protect by joining us today Key Responsibilities: Conducting regular foot patrols of the site to deter and detect any suspicious activity. Monitoring the control room and responding to any alarms or incidents. Providing exceptional customer service by assisting staff, visitors, and contractors. Managing incidents effectively, ensuring the correct procedures are followed. Maintaining a visible and reassuring presence in the reception area. Reporting any health and safety concerns and completing detailed logs and reports. Ensuring all security equipment is in good working order. SIA Licence (Essential) Must have the right to work in the UK. Have a five-year check able employment history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment, self-employment, or full and part-time education during that period. Excellent computer skills and ability to use security-related software. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures. Previous experience in customer service and incident management would be an advantage. Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and independently. Attention to detail and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
