You will be leading teams of 30 multi-disciplinary engineers in the process as well as coordinating with supply chain, outside vendors and contractors to make sure the product production is complete Qualifications : 100% on-site position in Clarksburg, MD U.S. CITIZENS AND PERMANENT RESIDENTS ONLY FOR THIS ROLE Required experience: B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degree in the field of Robotics, Computer Science, or Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering 5 years of leadership experience with teams of 20 engineers including electrical engineers, mechanical engineers and firmware/embedded engineers Experience driving the development of products from the prototyping phase to large-scale production Experience managing the hardware and software product development cycle for embedded products that are required to withstand the outside elements Experience working with cross-functional groups (supply chain, production, field operations/support, hardware/software/mechanical/electrical/integration/test/safety engineers) throughout the entire product development life cycle to ensure that final products meet the requirements/objectives and the product can be effectively released to production and field support. Familiarity supervising engineers working with Linux (Ubuntu) or other POSIX and Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) (NuttX, QNX, and/or VxWorks, specifically) Experience reading schematics and basic electronics, as well as understanding hardware documentation for the purposes of writing drivers.
