As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day engineering support for GTR, and customer designed components and assemblies. You will oversee the development of processes needed for GTR production so that standards of manufacturing are established, implemented, and maintained.
Key responsibilities:
1. Support of production intent from both GTR and customer designed projects.
2. Ensure that good engineering practice is followed throughout the company.
3. Development of new manufacturing processes and practices throughout the company.
4. Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organisation.
5. Qualification of customer processes to work within the constraints of GTR production.
6. Work with the design team to define, implement and develop new processes required throughout the business. Constructive feedback on shop floor project implementation to all relevant parties.
7. Work with Project Managers to support customer workflow, including design liaison as required, tooling definition, customer discussions etc.
8. Work with customers to resolve production issues arising from the shop floor on ‘make to print’ parts.
9. Generate information to help improve, control and document the manufacturing processes.
10. Laminate manuals, assembly manuals and care point information. Ensure good practice is followed on the shop floor, advice on rectification.
11. Should the need arise, you may be required to travel and work away from GTR Ltd premises. This will be discussed and is a project dependant requirement.
12. Provide training supervision for GTR production process to shop floor staff.
Key requirements:
1. Ability to work well with a team environment.
2. Strong communication skills with a good attitude to integration within the working environment.
3. Ability to deal with tight schedules and high customer expectations.
4. Fluent written and spoken English.
5. Degree in Engineering.
6. Experienced CAD user with Catia V5 or Siemens NX preferred.
7. Good understanding of engineering drawings.
8. Experienced Microsoft user, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
9. Good understanding of Composite materials and their properties.
10. Experience of composite manufacturing processes.
11. Good understanding of metallic materials and their properties.
12. Experience of metallic manufacturing processes.
Core hours from 8am to 4:30pm Monday-Friday.
Due to the nature of the industry that GTR Ltd works within there may be the requirement to work above the contracted hours to meet project deadlines.
Due to the continually changing nature of the job, duties will change, and other tasks will be required as directed by management.

Pay: £30,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
