Job Summary - Are you an experienced qualified accountant looking for a new & exciting challenge?
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will have the responsibility for the day-to-day management of the finance team.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
1. Preparation of the management accounts & budgets, including reporting on any significant deviations from budget.
2. Year-end procedures & statutory accounts preparation in accordance with reporting requirements.
3. Ensuring compliance with HMRC requirements e.g., VAT, Corporation Tax, etc.
4. Liaising with internal & external auditors.
5. Supervision of the Finance team to ensure reporting timescales are adhered to.
You must be able to demonstrate:
1. At least 2 years’ experience of leading a team.
2. The ability to communicate effectively with all finance professionals & non-finance professionals.
3. The ability to interpret complex financial data and present clear & concise reports to non-financial personnel.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills to allow you to keep your team well-informed and motivated.
5. Experience of working within a NHS, LA’s or Public/Private sector Children's/Adult Services environment.
