Our client is a market leader in the Mechanical Handling industry. This role provides critical support in technical documentation, information management, security, and TimeControl.
Main duties and Responsibilities:
Document Control
Assist the Security Controller/Planner to support Project Managers with the following duties:
* Manage the formal issue and receipt of project documentation within the Project Department
* Control the approval process for internal and client comments on documentation
* Receive, check, and issue supplier documentation to relevant projects, ensuring prompt approval
* Accurately control document and drawing numbering
* Maintain a comprehensive document library
* Create and standardize project-specific document trackers
* Expedite suppliers to ensure timely approval and receipt of final documents
* Assist with maintaining security clearances, training, document destruction, and incident management
TimeControl:
* Generate reports from TimeControl
* Upload timesheets for site employees
General:
* Collaborate effectively with internal and external interfaces
* Manage travel and accommodation arrangements
* Occasional reception and switchboard duties
* Assist with procurement activities
* Align work with Quality Control objectives
* Ensure compliance with Environment, Health, Safety, and Quality Standards
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
General:
* GCSE level education or equivalent
* Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and electronic records management
* Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
* Systematic, disciplined, and capable of planning and monitoring own work within deadlines
* Proactive in identifying and resolving anomalies
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels
Desirable:
* Experience with EPDM or similar EDMS
* Background in engineering project document control
* Experience in nuclear, defence, oil and gas industries, or working with design documentation in accordance with departmental and project procedures
